I was having the same problem with my 2011 F-150 lariat moderate. Nobody seemed to know what was the cause. Repeat for about 15 mins. This will remove and flying from the system. Also I charged my account bequeath a halt escape Freon. My AC was good, but from what I have gathered it could exist something to ut with the pressure in the lines or something, did those cardinal things and have had no problems with any of the issues, information technology's been a week nowadays. I've looked at few of these forums trying to figure out why my radiator fans happening my 2013 John Ford F-150 (3.5 EcoBoost) have been running game on high the past few weeks. The short of it: the expansion valve in the AC organization was bad. For the longer tale, I noticed that the fans came connected sopranino about three weeks ago. Also, to economize people the trouble of reading all of this if they'atomic number 75 having coolant (antifreeze) problems: it ended up having to act nothing with the coolant level on mine (so if you know you're having trouble with that, then this may not be helpful). Anyhow, the temperature was warmer than it had been in a while (contemptible to mid 70's), so I thought it may have just been that. What struck Maine as odd though is that they were running on high for my integral 15 minute trip, from the time the truck started cold until I finished the trip, with engine temperatures being completely within normal ranges the entire time. I'm not an expert mechanic, but I knew that having the AC along will sometimes make the fans run, then I turned the Atomic number 89 off towards the beginning of the trip, simply the fans still ran on high the entire time. The next few times I drove the hand truck, I noticed the like thing: radiator fans were running high near immediately after startup. Withal, I and then detected that if I did not clipped the AC on when I first turned the truck connected and never off it happening during the trip, the fans would never come on. However, as soon as I cut the AC on, the fans would run connected high the rest of the misstep even if I sour the AC pull out. This would also include if I was running the heat/deicer merely had the AC compressor on (as it kicks on automatically with the defroster). If I turned the truck off and turned it back on without running the Actinium after turning it back on, all but times the fans wouldn't cut back on (although on warmer days they would at times still kick back on). I as wel detected on a couple heater days that the AC wasn't working very well, so rational it mightiness be low on Freon, I added whatever, just both problems (the fans running and the AC not being very cold) remained. After doing some cyberspace enquiry, I intellection it might consume been a bad high-forc sensor, the one located behind the passenger lateral headlamp on the high pressure line. I also noticed that if the fans were running eminent, I could unplug the sensor, and the fans would shut off within a few seconds. If I blocked it back in, then the fans would recoil onto heights. My understanding for this was that the truck was getting a high pressure reading off of this sensor when it was plugged in. Ready to reduce the pressure, the hand truck would feed the fans on high. When the sensing element was unplugged, the truck would shut down the Actinium system as a safety criterion, but since the AC system was fold, the truck had no understanding to run the fans any longer, and it upset them unsatisfactory. This also allowed me to rule out information technology being a stuck relay just causing the fan to run for no reason. Also, if the system (with the sensor plugged in) detected that the pressure was far likewise high to kick the compressor on anymore, and then the compressor wouldn't approach (the fans would still run) and atomic number 102 cold air would come out (which I noticed happening warmer days). Long story shortish, I changed the high pressure sensor hoping that was the problem. Nope…still had the exact same behavior. Knowing that the sensor was in effect (and the plug too American Samoa information technology could recount the difference between being unplugged and when it was getting a high reading), I did some more research. I found a couple of videos that were helpful: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=sOPn8BQB0pw and https://www.youtube.com/watch? v=xBuAQuWezMY. I likewise bought an Actinium manifold gauge set off systematic to be fit to read the commanding and debased pressures. When I hooked it up, I byword my high-pressing side going really mellow (even with the fans on). After cutting the hand truck off and letting it sit, I saw the two sides not equaling out very quickly. I also talked to a buddy who looked up a TSB that indicated my problem was likely the expansion valve in the Alternating current system. And so, that was my diagnosing. I serial a recent expansion valve and assign IT in, vacuumed out the scheme, recharged it with the prim amount of Freon, and it works great. Than low speed radiator fan cuts on every now and so (as it's supposed to) and drops the pressure down when it gets a bit high, but the pressure comes right go through to where IT's supposed to be (which IT wasn't doing before with the fans regular on high). I'm not a mechanic by trade but ilk to work along gorge in my spare time and to save money, so if anyone has anything to add operating theatre correct, please feel free. I mainly hope that this helps someone else who has the unvaried problem. I'd also imagine that many past vehicles (besides just F-150's) would equiprobable deliver the same problem with their AC system and resultantly the radiator fans pouring on high (as I've seen some forums with the same problems on different vehicles).

They unremarkably kick on within 10-15 seconds of turn the AC on and run about 90% of the clock time I'm dynamical. Following up on my post from last week. Dealership was useless. They said they checked the AC compressor switch and other AC components and said everything looks formula. They aforesaid the fans in these model F-150s were designed to kick on high hurry in stop and go traffic and idling because of complaints connected antecedent yr F-150's AC not organism cold enough. I don't buy information technology. Yes, the fans should flow from every now and and then in hot climates, just saying this is "standard" to Maine sounds like Ford doesn't desire to accommodate they screwed upward the engineering on this. My motortruck had the following symptoms due to a oozing water supply heart (much about that below): - Engine overheating at highway speeds - Engine getting hot at neighborhood speeds - Engine fan running at highest possible speed from engine start to engine stop (in 55F brave out...) - Heater ventilation running cold - The ventilating system made a "gurgling" or "rattling" sound earlier overheating As explained to ME over the phone, the water pump has a weep hole out that begins emitting coolant when the pump bearings are at the end of their service life. This sounds like a pretty terrible room to notify the driver, but what to I know, I'm retributory a professional engineer.

Has anyone set up a solution beyond the AC Imperativeness Transducer that Dan replaced? I have a 2013 F150 5 liter. Seemed ilk the fan did not kick on high with the tawdry jet engine noise for just about two years, but it is back now and even occurs when the AC is not happening. Only time the railway locomotive has gotten hot was when the water pump broke (lover was kick on for a few months ahead that). It typically runs at normal temps. Just something for you all to check...not saying information technology's the solution... Check out priming #27 under the hood. Had another issue (testament explain at the can) and one solution we found was to check fuse #27. Pulled that and, while it wasn't blown, it was toasty on one last. Replaced it and it fixed the issue I was having. This was end night. However, the fan hasn't kicked in at all today, which is queer. It is about 10 degrees colder today than it has been insofar - 43 degrees - but the fan was kick in when it was 53 degrees last week. I even left it running the stallion time of day I was unmoving at the soccer field...fan never kicked on. I realize this might not be the fix and I also agnise this could be symptomatic of other problem, but just thought I would share. Truck had been running fine that day. Went to start it and it wouldn't collar. It would turn of events over and fitting keep turning terminated but didn't enamour. Proven that few times and battery didn't seem to be losing power or anything. Grabbed the work machine to get the kid where she requisite to be while my brother-in-police looked on here and Edsel Bryant Ford Forum and recovered the testimonial of ever-changing out mix up #27. I'll post an update late next week sometime, once it's warm up into the 50's and 60's, and let you know if the fan kicks in or if there are just Sir Thomas More problems. Good portio!

This fan problem only showed up in my 2012 F150. Turns out the radiator fluid horizontal in the source was very low. Extraordinary 50/50 antifreeze poured into the reservoir fixed the trouble.

Update...3 years of 50-60 degree weather and driving the truck a lot. Used the AC. Also sat in drive thru line at Chick-fil-a...on a Saturday! No jet locomotive engine noise. YAY!!! Non saying this is the issue everyone is experiencing but we had done almost all of the separate things recommended with no luck. Check fuse #27. It's an easy repair if that turns bent be what it is. Good luck!

I recently had a problem where the fans were running game on altitudinous afterward replacement the body of water pump and thermostat on a 2013 5.0 F150. Geosynchronous the trouble by replacing the Autozone thermostat with an OEM one. Problem went away once I installed the OEM thermostat. Try this before any other expensive repairs! The non OEM thermostats must open at the wrong coolant temperature.

From ii weeks past: 2013 Gerald R. Ford F-150 V8 with the same "turbo fan" problem. Trouble started ONLY AFTER my pee pump went impermissible and was replaced. Sent it to the dealer and they virtually changed out bargain uncastrated AC system for just about $2,500. NO FIX. I replaced the AC Pressure Tack. No more FIX. I checked and replaced fuse #27. NO FIX. I'm taking it to an independent mechanic next week to replace my twelvemonth old thermoregulator with a spick-and-span one and come across if that's the job. (That solvent was offered aside a mechanical I spoke with over the phone). I'll update when that's done. UPDATE: Looks like replacing my thermoregulator with a genuine Motocraft thermostat did the trick. Extend figure.

I have a 2014 5.0 conscionable hit 96,000 miles this is the secondment clock my hand truck has had the Same problem credibly a twelvemonth agone my heater stopped working changed thermostat regressive it. And the sec time (a year later) I detected the fans kicked on a great deal loud too wouldn't ever hardly cut off I just let information technology follow being that my truck is keyed I figured the tuner had adjusted the temp for them to hewn connected the about 2 weeks later my heater stoped working same mean solar day I as wel detected my temp standard of measurement go alittle other half for awhile and then come through then information technology would do IT again and hark back down again went and got a new thermoregulator changed IT and it fixed it again and also the fans assume't turn on as much so my judgment is to first check your levels and see if you call for to just add coolant that may work if not change the thermostat before taking information technology in

I had the exact same problem. 2013 FX4. 3 low cost fixes. #1: check fuse #27. #2 replace the AC change over (autozone has information technology for $25). #3 replace the AC expansion valve. I set the part for $35, and had a mechanic install, vacancy and reload the system and that fixed it for me

Had the same issue 2 years ago. Replaced the A/C Elaboration valve and that geostationary it. it started up once more recently, however this time the fan comes connected all the time whether OR not the A/C is on. I'm also getting really bad gas mileage in real time. I'm thought its the thermostat stuck open. My haynes blue-collar says that if you run the motortruck without a thermoregulator it confuses the computer and screws functioning the fuel/air salmagundi. I organized one and will be dynamical it out this weekend. I'll let you know how it goes.

I just figured out what was causation my 2012 F150 FX2 Ecoboost 3.5L High-pitched Winnow to pass. My progeny was that the low sports fan was not coming on so the high-topped lover was supplementing for it. So, hitch your Fan Relay (Low Lover) (mine is relay #85) in the fuse box to see if it is bad. Arsenic soon equally I pulled mine out and compared it to the Fan Electrical relay (High Fan) (mine is electrical relay #5), I could tell it was in all probability the issue arsenic the low fan relay was very hot compared to the in high spirits fan relay feeling cool to the touch. I swapped the low rooter (#85) relay with one I wasn't using, until I give the sack get a replacement, and completely is back to normal. I hope this helps someone.

Patterned the coollant level and information technology was dry, added 1 1/2 gallons, all works normal again. Could not see any leaks, simply there is a lot of snow outthere, will keep an eye on that. Very usufull tips along this fourm.'Thanks

I fixed the trouble of loud engine fan+ transmission slick+ high idle RPM~850rpm in the summertime when AC is on in my 2000 despatch while temp underestimate is right at the middle. I found a coolant leak, so I replaced with a heavy duty radiator. I besides replace the fan seize with original motocraft part, $90.00, and a good select serpentine belt. I drove today with the AC on for 1hr in end and go out. The engine is extremely quiet. The loose Revolutions per minute is at 650, and the expedition is responsive on gas pedal with supererogatory mogul. I believe the problem was the fan clutch that I bought for $35 few days past. Since I am lazzy, soh I replaced every three parts at the same time to save time. It looks like the fire indicator drops fewer for the same convert trip today.

2013 Gerald Rudolph Ford F150 V8, radiator fan began running along loud high today. Mileage is 9,700 (yes, solely 9,700) Only happens when a/c switch is on, even if you set temporary to full white and blow hot air instead of unheated. I'll replace fuse #27 as advisable and hope for the best.

Recently replaced water system pump and themostat in my 2013 f150 5.0. Just started having a similar issue with the lover gushing on high perpetually flush though its only in the 40s Here. My lower radiator hose I noticed was not getting warm even while idling. Complete aweigh putting the hoar thermoregulator back in and now it runs fine. For future replacements I would stick with OEM like others have got recommended is that seem to fix the trouble.

Hey guys, I have 2014 STX 5L with 70k miles on it. Or so two weeks agone I started noticing the fan running wide open and close to the same time I noticed that my heat was only running when the hand truck was running at speeds. I fair-and-square expended the last hour reading through this thread. Soh far based on what I've translate the quickest things to check were as follows. 1. Coolant level. 2. Fuse#27. When I looked both my coolant raze was low and fuse 27 was toasty upright As described. I immediately changed fuse 27 so furthest about 30 mins in and there is no high fan noise. My non-automatic says Conflate#27 is a fuel pump electrical relay nonetheless this can't be suitable in my opinion. I call back the low to no heat issue at idle tail end easily be explained by the low coolant steady. Your heat comes from the coolant unstable running finished your system when the motortruck is running Omar speeds your system is charged with pressure level and you can get the heat exchange, at moo speeds/light you may not rich person enough pressure in the system to pull fire u. I'm most to get fluid and top off the system so we will see what happens thereupon. So removed I'm of the opinion that both issues may be unrelated. I'll update later when I've had more than time to asses the repairs done so far.

Had the water pump and thermostat replaced on my Ford F-150 EcoBoost. ever since having it replaced, cooling fans have plumbed like they are happening turbo every meter the locomotive temperature gets to regular. Had my mechanic switch extinct my new thermostat with another thermoregulator except this prison term used a OEM role from Ford. Problem solved. Not sure why it works but it does.

Same for me...Personal a 2013 Ford F150 and had pee pump and thermostat replaced over the holidays. Devotee started continual high after 10 minutes of driving. Took to other frequent, said information technology was "typical" grrrr. Took to Gerald Ford dealer, couldn't find any problem. Read this forum and went and bought the Motorcraft thermostat and had mechanic install, problem solved. (Previous thermostat was a NAPA that was supposedly rated same as the OEM) - Would have had that mechanic swap it tabu but we were out of town when pump broke. THANKS TO ALL WHO WROTE IN!!! It's a shame, Henry Ford II mechanism don't know this and nobody bothers to research it!

2013 F-150 Platinum; I had the publish with my coolant going away low. I had a infinitesimal hose or tube somewhere that was cracked and leaking on my power-assisted steering rein. My ability guidance would indiscriminately go out! That was fixed after five-fold trips to the dealership. Now, I have the fans staying on after I put on the compressor for the de-ice. I'm guess that information technology's the A/C pressure switch. Fix Or Haunt Daily!

Gas probe is deep down gas cooler, it is cooled by having gas level at least 1/4-1/2 tank full always. Investigation runs very hot. I didn't have a problem with in high spirits fan until gas tank was nearly ransacked, about 90 miles or less along dash instrument panel. Gibe fuses no problem, coolant full? , 2022, F150, 21K miles, filled throttle tank seems to be running small, no loud fan noise.

I have a 2012 F150 with a 5.0 engine. At 150k miles I change the water pump and replaced the thermostat. Later that, I noticed my fans would run really high with the ac on. I thought virtually it and the only other change was the thermostat I bought 1 from the localized parts house. I replaced the thermostat with a Motorcraft and altogether sound.

Thanks to all for your suggestions. Information technology appears my trouble of the high gear speed fan engaging and running continuously when the 2013 Ford F-150 5.0 Liter is solved. The answer was installing a Ford, Motorcraft thermoregulator. My water pump had gone bad so I decided to change the thermoregulator at the same clock as neither had ever so been serviced. I went back with 2 various temperature thermostats I purchased from O'Reilly's. Neither solved the trouble, however the Motorcraft Ford thermostat did.

I have a 2010 F150 4.6 L and my AC clutch will not Engage. I replaced the low pressure switch and silence nobelium AC. If I turn my AC on level when the engine is cold it will stimulate both radiator fans to come up high. Extremely Loud. The only room to make them stop running is to disconnect my battery. At one time I reconnect my battery The fans will not add up on until I turn my AC hind on and then I have the same problem.

My devotee 2013 F-150 would come along super advanced and loud after 15 Taiwanese of drive, then would not go off. Besides noticed the temp gauge was moving scantily up and down. Switched away the thermostat (which was after marketplace) to Motorcraft, fixed the problem immediately. Part was $20 and Ford Franchise.
2015 3.5 EcoBoost. Fans were engaging 110% at start risen, no a/c cooling. Still had coolant at very advanced pressure when I evacuated the lines. Replaced A/c expansion valve situated on passenger side firewall. Problem was okay for all but 35k miles. Now it's doing it again. So I'm most to again put a shitty part that still inevitably a recall posterior in a truck that apart from the dual climate and this jet engine fan problem has been a champion. Oh fortunate.

This is just my personal experience, I let 2022 f150 Eco-boost and a week agone my fan started blowing on high-stepped, even when the keys slay, I've been unplugging the battery cable system, and I've been connected this site reading some answers and questions, thusly I got my owners manual looked up the motorial blower fuse, and started pulling a couple out and putting them back in, Then I got to the number 104 fuse, pulled it out and it stopped up, this is large news, I'm not saying I fixed it, but I fixed it for now and treasured to partake in my good news, I actually ric the key happening and started the vehicle and turned it back off and it still didn't come out like it has been, give thanks you to the situation thank you to the people that are placard I really appreciate it, but pulling the 104 fuse, and putting IT back in is what did it for Maine, for now, I hope I didn't take anyone's time up, I hope this was helpful for soul, I acknowledge I'm really happy right directly, so if it happens again I'll let you know, and I'll separate you when I did thanks for your time
Here is my story about my 2013 F150 high belt along fan running day in and day out. I purchased the motortruck brand recent in 2013 with the XLT trim and V8. This has been a great truck used mainly for skiing, hunting, and towing a boat. At about 60k miles the richly-swiftness fan started running more than needed. As metre went thereon continued to run and increased in frequency. It would run in altogether conditions, cold, hot, towing, idleness, with the heater on or off and with the air conditioner happening or off. I took the truck to my dealer and the inspection and repair sign in cat was a prick. The fan was thusly flash that I had to turn the truck hit so we could talk. He then told me that this was normal. Obviously, I argued but atomic number 2 continued his attitude, and then I left. I then did a gross ton of research on galore forums including this one. Based connected the recommendations I replaced the fan relay switches, no luck. I took it to my sure auto-mechanic WHO replaced the freon and checked for leaks. None luck. He then flushed the radiator and the lover continued to run. I love this truck but could not stand the noise any longer. I decided to look into trading it in for a Skirt Rebel and took it back to the same trader to aim the recall, unrelated to the fan make noise, fixed. At the check in the unvaried scratch was not around so I definite to excuse the issue one more time. This service guy was great. He told me that he was sure they can fig IT stunned. They kept the truck overnight and pressure tried the radiator system and found zero leaks. They titled Maine and told me they felt the problem was the lack of coolant motility even though the body of water pump tested normal. They said that it was likely that one of the internal parts of the heart was non working like it should. Full revealing I am not really mechanically inclined, brakes and plugs are nigh my limit. I decided to roll the dice and have the heart replaced as well every bit the thermostat. I still cannot believe it, but the high-speed fan is non kick on like IT was!!!! I have driven it a couple one C miles including into the Colorado high country without any crazy fan noise!! I have not towed with it yet and will update this when I do! I Leslie Townes Hope this helps!!
